Daredevil Funambulist Performs First Stunt in Latin America

"Mustafa Danger," a Morrocan world-renowned funambulist (tightrope walker) performed his first stunt performance in Latin America, at a height of 50ft .

"Danger" covered 150 meters (492 ft) in under five minutes with the 150 meter-long steel cable placed between two buildings in the center of Santiago, Chile, in front of the Palacio de la Moneda (Government House).

"Danger" stated that he would like to bring his usual show to Chile next year, which includes him dancing and jumping on the tightrope.

The Moroccan daredevil has been tightrope walking for over 30 years and has broken several Guinness World Records. This is the first time that he performed in Latin America and was the main attraction for the "Guardians of the Woods" event, a show that urges people to save the planet and make a difference in preserving the environment.

"Normally I dance on top of the wire, and jump over four people, this is what I've been doing for the last seven years in the United States." 

"Danger" claimed his rise to success is the fact that he controls his fear of falling with huge self-confidence. "With a lot of patience, and knowing that you have Guinness records and that you are the best, you're able to eliminate the fear." 

In 2015, a movie called 'The Walk: A True Story' was released, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The movie was based on the story of a 24-year-old French tightrope walker who walked between the Twin Towers in New York on August 7, 1974.
