Beneath her colorful baby attire, 'Bebe Mania' saved a special surprise for Paraguayan parents.

A transsexual doll is causing pandemonium in Paraguay after outraging parent and pro-family groups to the point of prompting state officials to confiscate hundreds of boxes of the toy at the border.

The doll, dressed in a variety of colors with a hair bow to match, is – at first glance – just like any other doll one might find in a toy store. But below her colorful baby attire, 'Bebe Mania' revealed her unique make-up when parents discovered male genitals attached to the doll's lower half.

Toy stores carrying the ultra-progressive plaything on their shelves in the city of Este have now been forced to close their doors by Mayor Sandra Zacarias, who says it is against the nation's principles and will not be tolerated.

"As long as she is a mayor, these types of items will not be sold; this community is pro-life, pro-family," the city spokesman told members of the press.

"What this type of product can instill is not in favor of what Paraguay protects at the family level," said municipal lawyer Cristian Cabral, adding that many of the city's parents and tourists were "indignant" and complained the doll endangered their children's innocence.

One citizen, Carlos Misael Bello, explained he had purchased the doll – unaware of its unusual characteristics – as a present for his daughter to celebrate the Day of the Three Kings.

Speaking with pro-family activist Ríos Nacif, Misael said he was shocked and upset to see that a penis had been added to the doll's physique and that toys such as these were being sold in his city. When he returned to complain about his purchase, the salesman explained that the addition of the doll's penis was the reason it was put on sale.

Trans-activist Yren Rotela has defended the doll, saying children should be educated to accept diversity and a few toys will not change an individual's sexuality.

"Educate our children for the world, educate with love, respect and without discrimination," Rotela said on his social media accounts.
