The Celestial Ceremony of the 'Supermoon'

The 'supermoon' is being seen from the northern hemisphere and parts of Asia Wednesday evening.

The evening of January 31 will bedazzle residents in the northern hemisphere and parts of Asia with three simultaneous astrological events: a total lunar eclipse, a blue moon and an almost supermoon.

The last time this happened was on March 31, 1866 – and the next time it will happen won’t be until December 31, 2028.

teleSUR takes a look at how this celestial ceremony has adorned the earth Wednesday evening.
