The Spanish government has asked North Korea's ambassador to leave Madrid before the end of the month.

The move follows Pyongayng's repeated refusals to renounce its nuclear weapons program and its continuing missile tests.
"Today, the North Korean ambassador was summoned and was told of the decision to consider him as a persona non grata, therefore he must stop working and abandon the country before Sept. 30," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The United Nations Security Council imposed new sanctions after North Korea's sixth and largest nuclear test this month, while the United States called on countries to sever both diplomatic and financial ties.
Spain is the latest country to ask a North Korean ambassador to leave.
In August, the U.S. Vice President Mike Pence encouraged several Latin American nations to isolate Pyongyang during his visit to the region, resulting in the expulsion of its ambassadors to Mexico and Peru.
Kuwait has also notified the North Korean ambassador to Kuwait City that he must go by the end of the month.
The announcement comes ten days after Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, visited the U.S.
6,000 North Korean labourers are currently working in the Gulf state - their visas will not be renewed.
And flights with Pyongyang as the final destination will be banned.
In addition, the Philippines, Pyongyang's fifth-biggest trade partner, said that it would cease trade with North Korea.
