Unrest broke out for a second day in Missouri after a former police officer was acquitted of killing a Black man. Jason Stockley was found not guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Anthony Lamar Smith following a high-speed chase in 2011.

After the ruling on Friday afternoon, around 600 chanting protesters marched from the courthouse through downtown St. Louis, some of them holding “Black Lives Matter” signs.

Protesters also demanded that police resign, while also calling for an economic boycott of St. Louis.
Protesters also tried to block intersections and disrupt traffic before making their their way to police headquarters.
