Throughout the exhibit, attendees will be able to learn about revolutionary struggles from Latin America and the world.

A new exposition titled, “From Lenin to Chavez: 100 Years of Revolutionaries,” was inaugurated Friday at the Venezuelan International Book Fair taking place in Caracas.

The festival is honoring the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, where the workers and peasants took decisive state power under the slogan, "All Power to the Soviets."

The display celebrates Vladimir Lenin’s leadership and the historical trajectory that led to the creation of the Soviet Union. Throughout the exhibit, attendees will be able to learn about revolutionary struggles in Latin America and the world.

The event was inaugurated by Minister of Culture Ernesto Villegas and took place at the Casa Bicentenario in the nation’s capital. To mark the opening, the Hugo Chavez Bolivarian Choir Network entertained the crowd with revolutionary songs.

The international book fair boasts the participation of several nations including the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran, China, Palestine, Russia, and Ecuador.

“On television, we only see those grand parades but we do not know anything about North Korea,” said one elderly participant to EFE, browsing the works of Kim Jong-un, Kim Jong-il, and Kim Il-sung, translated into Spanish at the DPRK’s booth.

At the Russian booth, Chavez’s works were on display translated into Russian.

The festival is taking place from Nov. 9-19 under the theme, “Read What We Are,” and host various authors across the city. Started in 2005 by late President Hugo Chavez, the 10-day gathering is completely free. Over 600 books are available to download at the fair through the Canaima computers set up by the National Autonomous Center of the Book.
