Croatia has shown an incredible determination and game quality by defeating Denmark, Russia and England, every one of these matches went to extra-time, and Croatia's National Team managed to score victories with spectacular comebacks after falling behind at first. Croatia faces its first World Cup final match ever and hopes to take the trophy home.

France on the other hand, lead by 1998 World Champion Didier Deschamps as coach, has been ascending during this Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup. "Les Bleus" hope to bring home the trophy, 20 years after winning it for the first time.

Argentine former baller, Diego Armando Maradona, said in teleSUR's 'De La Mano Del Diez': "I think Croatia has an extra advantage, I think of it as a player, Croatia showed an incredible spirit." But also said that the "French team was among my favorite teams, not Croatia but they have earned the right to be in this match."

France has a golden generation lead by players as Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba. They will try to earn the trophy for their country, 20 years after they got their first one.

"It has been a dream since childhood, all young people want to play a World Cup and a final, we want to lift the Cup and it does not matter if I score or not, I just want the trophy," said Griezmann during the press conference before the match.

But the French team's task is far from easy as they face a very combative Croatia, lead by their midfield duo composed by Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic, and complemented by lethal striker Mario Mandzukic.

"Nobody was waiting for us in the final, but we will not stop now. We will do our best to win this trophy. It is a unique opportunity. I would change everything I won in my career for this title, for this World Cup. We are ready to face France," Modric told reporters over the weekend.
