Hurricane Maria's Destructive Path Through the Caribbean

IN PICTURES: The storm appears to be following Hurricane Irma's path which left a trail of destruction across the region two weeks ago.

After devastating Dominica and Guadeloupe, Hurricane Maria is currently making landfall in Puerto Rico as a Category 4 storm, with sustained winds of 250 kilometers per hour.

The Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos Islands and a section of Bahamas have issued hurricane warnings.
