France: Workers Protest Macron's Labor Reforms

IN PICTURES: Mass resistance to changes in France's labor laws that affect workers in diverse sectors of the country's economy.

Thousands of French workers from across the country protested against President Emmanuel Macron’s neoliberal labor reforms, which slash workplace protections and benefits.

Amassed in Parisian streets, protesters waved flags, and even danced, to show their discontent for reforms that they say could eradicate local industries and replace them with foreign multinationals.

Mass protests also took place in Marseille, Le Havre and other French cities.
